The Nature Bridge (Tabiat Bridge) is one of Tehran’s most celebrated architectural landmarks and a masterpiece of modern Iranian engineering and design.
Completed in 2014, the bridge connects Ab-o-Atash Park to Taleghani Park, spanning over 270 meters and standing 40 meters above Modarres Highway. It serves as both a pedestrian bridge and a public gathering space, designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings.
The bridge was designed by Leila Araghian of Diba Tensile Architecture, who was only 26 years old at the time of conception. Its three-level structure, supported by an intricate network of steel trusses weighing over 2,000 tons, creates a dynamic and fluid form that encourages movement, social interaction, and leisure.
Beyond its engineering sophistication, the Nature Bridge represents a harmonious fusion of architecture, nature, and urban life — a concept that earned it widespread recognition and multiple international awards.
